Reflection was a central theme for Ceremonia founder, Babba Rivera, who grew up as a Latin American immigrant in Sweden. She never saw herself in Scandinavian society, but when she moved to the States to pursue a career in the tech industry, she was finally able to reconnect with her Latinx heritage. However, Rivera still noticed a lack of Latinx representation in a country where Hispanics account for 20% of the population.

Her experiences watching her father, a hairdresser, work coupled with the spirit of sustainability and a commitment to clean led Babba to create Ceremonia.
